CCCC spells success for Pittsboro resident

Emma Hewitt, daughter of Mark and Carol Hewitt, of Pittsboro, will be a featured panelist on National Public Radio's "The State of Things" live at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29. The show is part of a series the station is running on who goes to college, who doesn't and why. Hewitt will speak about the community college as a path to furthering one's education. She earned her GED at Central Carolina Community College and will earn her associate's degree in the college's University Transfer program. She plans to graduate in December.
