CCCC Automotive Restoration Car Show set for May 11

SANFORD - The 2nd Annual Central Carolina Community College Automotive Restoration Car Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic & Conference Center, 1801 Nash St., Sanford. Judging starts at 11 a.m.

Cost to enter the show is $20 per vehicle, with free spectator admission. Proceeds from the car show go to the CCCC Foundation to support the Automotive Restoration students and program.

Students in the CCCC Automotive Restoration Technology program get extensive hands-on training in a variety of subjects such as metal and plastic body restoration, wood and steel component fabrication, automotive engines and drive train, painting and refinishing, automobile upholstery, electrical systems and welding. CCCC offers both an Auto Restoration Diploma and an Auto Restoration Certificate.
