Anniversary set for Triangle South Enterprise Center

09.19.2017 • College & Community, College General

DUNN - A grand celebration is planned to mark two milestones -- the 30 years of service of the Triangle South Enterprise Center and the 100 years in existence of Magnolia School.

The celebration will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the Triangle South Enterprise Center, located at 600 S. Magnolia Ave. in Dunn.

Triangle South Enterprise Center is a one-stop innovation, incubation, and resource center that promotes a healthy, vibrant climate for small business economic development in Harnett County. The Center is administered by the Dunn Area Committee of 100, Inc. and is assisted by Central Carolina Community College and its Small Business Center.

The Center is located in the former Magnolia School, which opened in 1918.

"We are excited to celebrate these two milestones on Sept. 20," said Mari-inetta Pavlic, who serves as CCCC's Small Business Center Coordinator - Harnett County. "The Triangle South Enterprise Center and Magnolia School facility have well-served Harnett County and we invite the public to help us celebrate the Triangle South Enterprise Center and Magnolia School."

Magnolia School served as a grammar school for 66 years, closing in 1984. It housed kindergarten through third grade with 18 classrooms.

The school sat vacant for three years until the Triangle South Enterprise Center came into existence, thanks to the efforts of the Dunn Area Committee of 100.

The Small Business Center provides on-site counseling services, seminars, workshops, and other assistance to businesses located in the Triangle South Enterprise Center, Harnett County, and surrounding areas.

The Triangle South Enterprise Center is committed to the success of its tenant companies. It is also committed to the creation of business opportunities and jobs and improving the quality of life in the area.

The Center has up to 18,500 square feet of office space available for lease to service, manufacturing, and research and development firms. Flexible lease terms and space arrangements are available to accommodate the needs of each tenant company. Shared support services are available on an optional basis. Tenant shared support services include: secretarial service, answering service, computer use, phone system hookup, and conference room use.

The Triangle South Enterprise Center offers the following: assistance in finding capital and compatible loan programs; below-market rental rates; free management and technical assistance; free business plan assistance; meeting facilities; flexible lease terms; space to suit tenant; and natural lighting.
