CCCC holds Pinning and Candlelighting Ceremony

SANFORD - Central Carolina Community College held a Pinning and Candlelighting Ceremony for its 2016 Associate Degree Nursing graduates on Thursday, May 12, at St. Luke United Methodist Church.

Barbara Campbell, Nursing Department Chair, presented opening remarks. Student remarks were by Sophie Schlegel. Special awards and presentation was by Mary Ann Gaster of the Nursing faculty. Special music was by class member Emily Thomas and student presentation was by Michelle Durham.

Nursing Instructor Kathy Farley introduced the graduates, with Barbara Campbell doing the Pinning of each graduate. Presentation of flowers was by Nursing Instructor Consuela Blaizes. Candlelighting Ceremony was led by Nursing Instructors Dixie Holden and Linda West, joined by all Nursing faculty. Benediction was by Caroline Wiedholz.
