CCCC offers CDL courses

SANFORD - Central Carolina Community College is offering two classes of Certified Drivers License (CDL) Training, which is designed to meet the needs of those students with no prior knowledge or experience in truck driving.

Each session of the course operates for four weeks, which includes 50 hours of classroom instruction, 50 hours of skills training, and 60 hours road experience (not behind the wheel). The training also includes a two-hour CDL driving exam.

The first class begins Jan. 26 and ends Feb. 26, with classes from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Locations are the Lifelong Learning Center at W.B. Wicker, Room 107A, and Emergency Services Training Center.

The second class begins March 15 and ends April 15, with classes from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Locations are the Lifelong Learning Center at W.B. Wicker, Room 107A, and Emergency Services Training Center.
