The Central Carolina Community College Foundation hosts its first Chatham County Golf Classic on April 16 at The Preserve at Jordan Lake Golf Club. Golfers are invited to participate in this morning of fun and fellowship for a good cause, with all proceeds benefiting the education of CCCC students. Among the Chatham residents who participated in the Foundation's 2013 Golf Classic, held in Lee County, were (not pictured in order) Ricky Byrd, Ken Ray, Travis Thomas, and Bob Esau. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization affiliated with, but independent of, the college. It receives donations of money and equipment on behalf of CCCC and uses them to promote the educational mission of the college and assist students through scholarships and grants. For information on giving to the Foundation or its fund-raising events, contact Emily Hare, director of the CCCC Foundation and Development Office, 919-718-7230 or ehare@cccc.edu.
