CCCC Chinese instructor brings China to life for West Lee students

Ling Huang, Confucius Classroom instructor at Central Carolina Community College, shares knowledge of her country with West Lee Middle School seventh graders, including the evolution of the Mandarin language. The seventh graders, students in the social studies classes of Paula Layton, Gregg Halkuff and Ella Clark, have been studying China and found it very interesting to learn from Huang.

West Lee Middle School students have a unit on China and got to listen to Ling Huang (right), Confucius Classroom instructor at Central Carolina Community College, share her knowledge of her country with them. Following a presentation on the Chinese peoples, cultures, and food, Huang answered questions from the students. Mecca Fox (second from left) asked about gas prices in China as classmates Zoe Sharpe (left), and Essence Baile listened. They learned that gas costs more in China than in the United States.
