A Sept. 30 Poker Run in North Myrtle Beach raised money for the Michael Delamere Memorial Scholarship at Central Carolina Community College. The scholarship was established by his mother, Loretta Delamere (center), and is managed by the CCCC Foundation. The scholarship benefits motorcycle mechanics students at the college. Among those taking part in the Poker Run were CCCC lead motorcycle mechanics instructor Wayne Graham (left), and Michael’s brother, Chris Delamere. CCCC motorcycle mechanics instructor Stan Thompson (not shown) also took part in the event. The CCCC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization affiliated with, but independent of, the college, receives donations of money and equipment on behalf of CCCC. For information on establishing scholarships or endowments, contact Foundation Executive Director Diane Glover, 919-718-7231 or dglover@cccc.edu, or Associate Director Emily Hare, 919-718-7230 or ehare@cccc.edu.
