Central Carolina's C-STEP program honors first graduates

Central Carolina Community College honored its first six graduates of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill Carolina Student Transfer Excellence Program (C-STEP) May 10 at a local restaurant. The C-STEP program enables more talented low- to moderate-income students from selected community colleges to transfer to and graduate from the university. CCCC's 2012 C-STEP graduates are: (front) Joseph Bozik, of Wake County; and (back, from left) Jessica Cooper, of Lee County; and Ashley Perry, Tannaz Mohammadi-Gharaghani, Steven Richard, and Tracy McInturff, all of Chatham County. All will start at UNC-CH either for the summer or fall semester.
