Chatham celebrates college's 50th

The Northwood High School Jazz Band is one of the entertainment groups who will perform at Central Carolina Community College's day of fun, entertainment and learning April 28 at its Chatham County Campus. The event is part of the college's on-going 2011-12 celebration of 50 years of service to its communities. Everyone is invited to this free event over-flowing with activities: entertainment, health screenings, free classes, law enforcement demonstration, hot air balloon, barbering and cosmetology services, and more. There will also be a tour of the college's sustainable features. Vendors will have refreshments for sale. Also on April 28, a 'Comedy Dinner Theatre' will be presented at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Advance purchase tickets are required for that and can be purchased through www.brownpapertickets.com or at the Chatham Campus' Administration Office in Building 1.
