Central Carolina Community College's Professional Arts and Crafts: Sculpture program is now offering ceramics and sculpture classes that earn university transfer credit. No prior experience with sculpture or ceramics is needed. In Sculpture I, students work with a variety of materials, including stone. Chatham resident Trish Welsh's abstract in alabaster (pictured) is an example of the type of work that can be done in that class. For more information on the college's Professional Arts and Crafts: Sculpture program, visit www.cccc.edu/sculpture/, or phone (919) 742-4156. Spring semester registration runs through noon Friday, Dec. 16. Late registration is Jan. 5. For more information, visit www.cccc.edu/registrar/.
