Central Carolina Community College’s Lee County Campus has a new, spacious look to its main entrance, the area between the Library and Bell Hall (pictured from the direction of Kelly Drive). Over the past year, trees and vegetation were removed from the area, a new courtyard with sandstone benches installed, and new landscaping planted. The design is by United Biospheres, of Siler City. Visitors, employees and students now find the area a more inviting and functional part of the campus.

For years, the trees and hedges at the main entrance to Central Carolina Community College’s Lee County Campus formed a visual barrier to the campus, rather than an inviting entry, as shown in this photograph taken last year before redesign work was done.
