The Triangle South Workforce Development Board, located at Central Carolina Community College, in conjunction with the JobLink Career Center in Lee County, held its 2011 Empowerment Symposium March 10 to honor members of the college’s Workforce Investment Act program. The program helps dislocated workers gain new skills through the college and pursue jobs in a variety of fields. Among the event participants were (left, from front) Lisa Rogers, Kimberly Liles and Ann Shaw, all of Lee County, and (right, from front) Victoria Sellers, of Lee County, and Anita Shaw, of Harnett County.
