Pumpkin carving was a fun part of the Celebrate Green Central 2010 event at Central Carolina Community Collegeís Chatham County Campus. Visitors to the Celebrate Green Central 2010 event Oct. 15-16 at Central Carolina Community Collegeís Chatham County Campus enjoyed watching Hilary Heckler, manager of the campusís student farm, toss pizza crusts. The crusts were then covered with organically grown arugula from the farm, pesto and other toppings and baked in the farmís oven. The farm is part of the collegeís sustainable agriculture program. The Celebrate Green Central event featured displays by green building and energy efficiency vendors, a green home tour, and overviews of the collegeís green programs, including the new Natural Chef culinary arts program.
