JobsNOW offers more job training at CCCC

Susan Bryant, of Broadway, receives her drug collection specialist certificate from President Bud Marchant, of Central Carolina Community College, during the college’s Continuing Education Medical Programs graduation May 27 at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center. Bryant, who was laid off from Moen after 33 years, returned to the college under the JobsNOW workforce development worker-retraining program. She earned both her drug collection specialist and phlebotomy technician certificates and has started working part-time at Central Carolina Hospital. JobsNOW job training can be completed within a few weeks to six months. New classes in a variety of job areas begin soon. The JobsNOW workforce development program at Central Carolina Community College’s campuses in Chatham, Harnett and Lee counties offers job training that can be completed within a few weeks to six months.
