Central Carolina Community College Electronics Engineering students visited the North Carolina State University Engineering and Computer Technology Department’s Student Projects Fair on April 29 at the NCSU Campus to see the type of projects the university students have worked on this semester. Among the projects was the Solar Powered LED Night Light construction and comparison project created by a team that included Jonathan McDonald (left), CCCC Associate in Science-2006 and son of Katherine McDonald, Marketing Department writer. Jonathan worked for the Army Corps of Engineers between completing his junior and senior years and will graduate from NCSU with his Electrical Engineering degree on May 14. He describes the project to an NCSU professor while (center left to right) CCCC second year Electronics Technology students Richard Bogart and Adrian Rodriguez, Steve Lympany, CCCC Engineering Technology Department Chairman, and student Chuck McLendon look over the project prior to discussing it with Jonathan. Other CCCC students who visited the fair but who are not pictured were Erick Andino, Jeffrey Cannady, and Jacob Reece. The CCCC Electronics Application Project class hosts its Student Presentations Event 8 a.m.-10 a.m. Friday, May 7, in Room 220, Wilkinson Hall. Everyone is invited to attend.
