CCCC Adult High School/GED programs celebrate graduation

Jaspen Pratt (center) of Chatham County, his father, Ruben Pratt (left) and mother Catherine Moore are all smiles following the Central Carolina Community College Adult High School/GED graduation Jan. 21 at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center. Pratt dropped out of high school, but had now earned his diploma. He is already continuing his education in the college’s auto body restoration program in Pittsboro. Pratt was one of 272 residents of Chatham, Harnett and Lee counties who completed their studies for a high school or General Educational Development diploma at the college this semester. About 150 turned out for the graduation ceremony.

Central Carolina Community College’s Adult High School and General Educational Development programs held their graduation exercises Jan. 21 at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center. Teresa Ward, of Chatham County, received her high school diploma with honors. She was one of three student speakers for the event. The graduation was particularly special for her because her son, Darryl Crim, also received his. Ward was one of 272 residents of Chatham, Harnett and Lee counties who completed their studies for a high school or GED diploma at the college this semester. About 150 turned out for the graduation ceremony.

He came to CCCC, earned his General Educational Development diploma and now plans to go on to college to study architecture or computer technology. About 150 turned out for the graduation ceremony.

Both are continuing their education, Shaw in the college’s automotive technology program and Hart in its occupational therapy program. They were two of 272 residents of Chatham, Harnett and Lee counties who completed their studies for a high school or General Educational Development diploma at the college this semester. About 150 turned out for the graduation ceremony.
