What is the tuition?
Tuition and fees are the two types of income received at the Preschool. Tuition is the amount charged each week for childcare services. Fees are charged annually for registration and are not refundable. Occasional activity fees may be charged for special events. These fees are based on a rate which is revised annually each July 1st. The rate for tuition and fees will be determined by the needs of the budget and comparable market rates for Chatham County.
All tuition and fees are payable in advance. Parents are given a choice of payment plans for tuition. Tuition may be paid weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Monthly tuition is calculated on a weekly fee for the number of weeks in that month. (A week is included with the month that has 3 or more days in that week.) The annual registration fee is due when you register your child for the next year.
Tuition payments should be made on Monday (or the first day of the week).
Payments not received by Wednesday will be considered past due. A late charge of $5.00 per day will be added to all late payments. Late charges may be waived if the situation is discussed in advance of the due date. Late fees will not be waived on a regular basis and may not be waived more than three times for any individual family. Extenuating circumstances are given careful consideration. Tuition is not allowed to run more than two weeks past due.
A financial agreement will be completed for each family, detailing individual tuition and fee charges and payment plans. The financial agreement is signed by the parents and the director at the time of enrollment. A new agreement is prepared and signed annually in July.
Full tuition is charged for holiday closings and inclement weather closings. No tuition is charged for the week of Christmas vacation. A calendar of holiday and vacation closings is prepared each July and is included in this handbook.

The director will work with parents to set up a payment schedule during orientation. Once your payment schedule has been decided, it is important that you make your payments in full when it is due. If a problem should arise, please see the director immediately. If a bill becomes 14 days past due, the student may be asked not to return until the payment is made. Repeated failure to meet the payment will result in withdrawal from the program.
