Our electronic reference service is offered primarily to faculty, staff and students of CCCC and to residents of Lee, Harnett and Chatham counties. We also welcome your reference questions in person.

If you have not used electronic reference service before, please read the information about this service before you complete the form.

  1. This service is to answer quick, factual questions or to assist you in your search strategy, not to do in-depth research for you.
  2. Questions will be answered within 36 hours or less Monday through Friday, except during holidays or other school closings.
  3. Be sure to give either an email address or a phone number where we can contact you with the answer.
  4. Please make the question(s) as specific as possible. Examples of the types of information we will provide include, but are not limited to: Factual: Addresses, meanings of acronyms, sources of quotations, citations, historic facts, biographical information.

Search strategy: Where you should begin looking for information on your topic, or suggestions for resources, print and electronic, in addition to where you have already looked.
