The
mission of the CCCC libraries is to
provide library, electronic media and audiovisual resources,
and a variety of services necessary to support the educational
program and mission of the College, and to provide
information resources and services that will meet the
diverse needs, interests, cultural backgrounds, and aptitudes of library patrons. Such patrons include CCCC students,
faculty, staff, small businesses, industries, and residents

The
student ID card received at registration is also the
CCCC library card. The first card is issued at no charge,
but replacement cards cost $5.00. Library cards for
community patrons are also available at the circulation
desk.
The library card is required to checkout
all materials including reserve materials and
telecourse videotapes. The libraries do not charge
fines for overdue materials; however, the replacement
cost of the item is charged for items that have
been lost. Charges may also be assessed for damaged
materials. Grades, transcripts, and diplomas
are held until the library record has been cleared.
The
CCCC libraries contain a variety of electronic resources,
a print collection of over 42,500 titles and over 240
magazine and newspaper subscriptions.
In addition, the library is a member of the Community
College Libraries in North Carolina (CCLINC). Access
to the CCLINC Catalog is
available online to users. You will see the collections
of and can request materials from 44 community college
members. The items you requested will be sent to the
CCCC campus you designate, and library staff will notify
you when the materials are received. CCCC also has an
interlibrary loan service and, through the North Carolina
Information Network, library staff can request items
for patrons from other libraries in the southeast.
The CCCC library has cooperative agreements giving students
borrowing privileges at the public libraries serving
Lee, Harnett, and Chatham counties and at Campbell University.
We welcome your suggestions to improve our services
and resources. To

LibQUAL+ Survey Results
During spring semester of 2006, CCCC participated in an online survey to measure user’s perceptions of library services. The instrument used was LibQUAL+, which was developed by the Association of Research Libraries.
The survey was a project supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the federal Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the State Library of North Carolina, a division of the Department of Cultural Resources.
