Nallely Vazquez

"I definitely think my education at CCCC was imperative for success at N.C. State"

Nallely Vazquez

Senior at NC State's College of Management

Nallely Vazquez, a senior at North Carolina State University's College of Management, has two great career choices she is considering: the law or business management. Whichever she chooses, she'll succeed - and she gives Central Carolina Community College a big share of the credit for that.

Nallely came to the college with the thought of becoming a lawyer.

"CCCC is the smartest way to start to become a lawyer," she said. "It's cost efficient, the classes transfer to the university, you have a relationship with the teachers, and the paralegal program has internships, so you see what field of law you like."

She did her internship at a law office in Sanford and impressed the firm so much that she was hired when she graduated in 2007 with her Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Technology.

For law school, Nallely needed a bachelor's degree, so she continued at CCCC, earning her Associate in Arts-University Transfer degree. Her interests shifted toward business management, so she enrolled in NCSU's College of Management. She'll receive her degree in 2012.

"I definitely think my education at CCCC was imperative for success at N.C. State," she said. "Central Carolina offered a lot of opportunities that I wouldn't have had otherwise. Having my degree from CCCC made my transition to NCSU smooth. I absolutely recommend the college."
