Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
Central Carolina Community College offers a Commercial Driver's License training program to satisfy the need and requirements of the truck driving industry. This 160-hour course includes classroom, skills training and road experience (not behind the wheel). At the end of this study, students are given a 2-hour CDL driving exam, and with successful completion, will receive a valid class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- 18 years of age or older
- Current valid NC driver's license
- Complete a criminal background check
- Pass a drug screening
- Complete Pathway to CDL, HRD-3006P2
Pathway To CDL
This required course will allow students the opportunity to develop a career pathway with the skills needed to gain employment as a truck driver. Fee waivers are available for unemployed and underemployed individuals to enroll in this 18 hour course. The class must be taken as a pre-requisite to the CDL course.
