Associate in Fine Arts Degree University Transfer

CCCC's Associate in Fine Arts (AFA) program is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree in an either visual art or drama. This program brings together the strengths that CCCC has to offer, small class sizes and hands-on training. Currently, the AFA in Art, based on the Siler City Campus, is enrolling students.

The AFA is a two-year degree that prepares students to transition into an arts program at the junior level. The advantage of beginning with CCCC is that students immediately work in their chosen arts field while saving on the costs of university classes for two years. Our instructors in the AFA are artists themselves and bring both an academic and practical understanding to their fields.

With classes in a variety of disciplines, including drawing, sculpting, printmaking, ceramics, and more, CCCC's AFA in Art is designed to give artists a broad base to practice their skills and hone their talents. An additional bonus for the college community is that students from other curricula may also enroll in arts classes for transferrable credit. This program truly brings arts to the community.
