Survey Request: Tai Chi on Lee County Campus

Con Ed Offers "Tai Chi for Health" Program

Central Carolina Community College's Continuing Education Department offers a unique "Tai Chi for Health" program. Tai Chi consists of fluid, gentle, circular movements that improve strength, flexibility, fitness, relaxation, balance, posture, and immunity. Tai Chi, Parts I and II, classes will be held 6:30 p.m.-7:45 p.m., Tuesdays, May 19-August 4 at the college's Chatham County Campus in Pittsboro. For more information, call (919) 542-6495, ext. 223.

Staff Development

Mark your calendars for a rescheduled roundtable discussion for distance faculty. The March session will now be Tues., May 19. This staff development session is a chance for virtual faculty to engage in face-to-face dialogue about what works and how to make it work better with a critical support service. Yard Sale on Saturday, May 16th:

The yard sale will be at the home of Rosalind Cross and is located right off of Highway 24/87 when heading toward Spring Lake. The yard sale consists of clothes, shoes, toys, household wares, some tools, lightweight electronics, and miscellaneous furniture pieces. Questions: Please call ext. 7338.

Adorable Baby Kitten for Adoption: Matilda, 10-week-old kitten, needs a loving and responsible home. Matilda has all her tests and first shots. Wanted: Many thanks to those who have already contributed the much needed tote bags (non-paper/non-plastic) to the Coalition for Human Care. Kitchen workers are happily using them to prepare food bags for Coalition clients. In this economy, the number of clients is increasing daily and the need for tote bags is growing.
