- Outdated Job Searching Techniques to Avoid Workshop
One of the most common questions I often hear asked to me as a career counselor isWhy is my job search taking so long?I've applied everywhere!
The Career Center and its staff want to make sure you understand the answer to this question and know how to avoid it.
This workshop will provide you with information on job searching techniques that are becoming so saturated with users that sometimes the most qualified applicants are getting lost in the shuffle. Such job searching techniques causing this type of clutter include applying solely online, making assumptions about hiring practices, using only one job search method, focusing solely on oneself and résumé mass mailing just to name a few. Let's prevent this occurrence from happening to you by understanding why we need to avoid these techniques and what techniques we may want to replace them with.
Please RSVP for this workshop by sending an email to Mary Parker, Career Center Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Wednesday, September 4, 2014 at 4:00pm with an email that has a Subject Line:Outdated Job Searching Techniques Workshop
and in the Body:Your Name and a Preferred Phone Contact

I look forward to seeing you at the Workshop!
