Nursing Consideration Dates: September 3 to September 20, 2014

Accepting applications for the Practical Nursing program on the Lillington campus starting January 2014

Nursing Consideration Dates are September 3 to September 20, 2013 ending at 3 p.m. for the Lillington campus program starting spring 2014.

All information and requirements must be completed and on file with CCCC by September 20 at 3:00 p.m.

You can pick up a nursing consideration application from the Nursing counselors on the Sanford, Pittsboro, or Lillington campuses starting Sept. 3.

Return the nursing consideration application, the NC Nursing Assistant 1 transcript or certificate from an approved NC NA1 program and the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR card to the Nursing counselor on the Lillington campus by September 20 at 3:00 p.m

The U.S. Constitution
Details:

This lecture will focus on the history of the U.S. Constitution, its importance as an Enlightenment Era document, and its significance to modern America. Students will have an opportunity to ask questions about the U.S. Constitution, its importance, and its relevance.

Details:
To enhance your employability skills, a Resume Writing Tips, Traits and Tools Workshop is being sponsored by the Career Center on the Lee County (Sanford) campus for the purpose of understanding the techniques to writing a resume that will get you to the next step in the hiring process which is the interview. This workshop will lead you through a variety of subjects geared towards providing extensive knowledge about the product you are marketing...YOU!  
 
You will receive information and hands-on instruction involving:
  • Discussion on Four (4) Types of Resume Formats and the advantages & disadvantages of each
  • How to write an employment objective that shows potential employers that you have direction
  • Make the most of your work experience
  • Know what to reveal in a resume, and what to keep to yourself
  • Introduction to ONET Online as a resume writing tool
  • Learn to overcome gaps in work history
  • The Purpose of Cover Letters and what they should say
  • Discover how to use References to your advantage
